The first chill hath cometh. If you’ve been outside working and developed a serious chill, then the best way to remedy the situation is by bundling up (insulating) and then adding warmth to the inside (hot tea, and chili). Chili is calorically packed to refuel you, it should be served hot to warm you and it should be served either spiced or spicy to warm you further - and give you some sense of immunity boost. I did a crazy thing last night, which was add sweet pickled fresno chilis to my dinner (not pictured in this lunch chili photo). They took it to the next level - I was sweating and burning and experiencing all the symptoms that are appropriate when consuming chili. Lastly - I did this with turkey for two reasons, the first; tis the season. The second; beef chili feels like an assault on the arteries, it’s just too damn thick to process, and this version is not. You will be able to function afterwards, it’s better, trust me.
I’ve attached a PDF version of the recipe, as many of you have asked, this will continue to be the case going forward.
